The 3D-technology has developed so much as to include printing everything, wholly from homes to guns.3D-printed heart

According to the WHO, cardiovascular disease is the world’s leading cause of death. Transplants are currently the only options available for patients in the worst cases. Sadly the number of donor are limited and many die in waiting. While people benefit, they can fall victim to their bodies rejecting the transplant–a problem the researchers hope to resolve through their ‘major medical breakthrough’ with ease.

Earlier scientists ried to 3D-print the structure of a heart, but not with the cells or with blood vessels. This is for the first time anyone anywhere has successfully engineered and printed an entire heart replete with cells, blood vessels, ventricles and chambers.it will soon go for animal trial.

Israeli scientists at Tel Aviv University announced 3D printed heart with human tissue and vessels, about the size of a cherry, published in the peer reviewed journal Advanced Science. Now researchers are teaching the printed heart “to behave ” like real ones. The cells are currently able to contract, but do not yet have the ability to pump.

The researchers took a biopsy of fatty tissue from patients that was used to create the “ink” for the 3D-Print.

According to Tal Dvir the project leader,in 10 years ,there will be organ printers in the finest hospitals around the world. The procedures for producing hearts suitable for human heart transplantation and placing patches to regenerate defective hearts will be conducted routinely.
