Mid May to mid October is definitely the best time to go on this trek. The trek is a popular long weekend trail in Manali. You will get to walk along the banks of River Beas. You will get to enjoy wonderful views of Pir Panjal ranges and Dhundi meadows. As you go along the trail, you climb upwards to arrive at the originating point of the glacial lake. The strenuous trail starts at Leh taking you through the Chilling, Skiu, Sara, Hankar. The maximum altitude of the trek is 5200 m and covers a distance of 65 kms. The best time to go on the trail is from July to mid September. You also get to see the stunning sights of Stok Kangri and Kang Yatse peaks. You can also get a glimpse of the distant Tibetan region on a clear day.


This is one of the best choices for trekking in India. The Garhwal region has the challenging Rupin Pass trek which is approximately 52 kms. It takes around 7 days to complete the trek which is at an altitude of 15250 feet. The best time to choose to go on this trek is from May to June and September to October. This is often loved by expert trekkers due to the challenges of the trail. It involves different kinds of terrains that may be rugged, meadows or snow. You also will love to savor the stunning views of Kinner Kailash peaks.


This is one of the easy trails that even beginners can go on. The trek only lasts for about 5 to 7 hours making it an ideal choice for the beginners and also those who have a shortage of time. You get to witness a wide range of flora that includes ferns, orchids and magnolias. Another highlight of the trek is the Black Pond considered holy by the Buddhists. You also will walk past the very popular Valley of Poison called Bikhey Bhanjyang. The best time to go on this trail will be from April to May and October to January.
